We tend to get uber-focused on what to eat, what not to eat and the multitude of ideas around diet information available. This can often lead to mental stress, confusion, doubt and feeling overwhelmed. We cannot let our psoriasis diet be another source of stress, guilt and anxiety.
I feel the most important diet strategy is to carry out a “practical transition”, whether you are just starting or choosing to change course and subscribe to a new diet plan that someone is suggesting to you.
The practical transition can make the process smoother, steadfast and reduce the mental stress, guilt, doubt, fear and anxiety over thoughts like “How long will this take?” or “Which diet plan do I go with 100%?”
Add one skill at a time and master it. Become an excellent water-drinker and a Samurai vegetable-cutter. Add more and more healthy, whole foods to your kitchen and office. Surround yourself with the tools you will need, such as a juicer and a blender as you can, when you can. The more you see the foods and the tools, the more you will begin to take action. In sight, in mind.
Through a practical transition you begin to equip yourself and think differently than you ever have before. This develops a new healing mentality as you go. You build a core system that will drive your habits, cues and behaviors. This system will serve you the rest of your life, far beyond just healing psoriasis naturally.
You are the Master. You become strong and flexible like Bamboo. You Make Your Psoriasis Diet Stress Free.
You begin to pick and choose advice from other people and ADD to your practice, instead of ‘starting from scratch‘ or ‘starting over‘ which hurt you mentally and emotionally. There is no starting over once you have started. You can avoid the thought of “I’m not getting anywhere and nothing works for me.“, because you are working your craft and developing it further.
A Practical Transition Reduces Stress Over Diet
I strive to do my best everyday. I have many skills, habits and a dynamic healing practice going in my life. My belief comes from my practice. My faith comes from my practice. I simply do my best, I do not judge myself harshly, and I’m honest with myself and what I can do in a given day.
I have affirmations that remind me how far I have come and how beautiful the present moment is. I get lost in the Moment. I get lost in my healing process.
Focus on what is inside of your control and reduce thoughts on what is outside of your control. This will create space and peace in your mind. It will make you more effective and process stress energy.
What you choose to eat and how you choose to treat yourself? This is inside your control. Belief begins to develop.
How long will it take exactly to heal based on your efforts? This is outside your control. Doubt begins to develop.
The more you focus on what’s inside of your control, the more challenges come inside of your control.
The more you focus on what’s outside of your control, the less challenges come inside of your control.
This is a mental strategy for your psoriasis healing practice. The process of equanimity and acceptance.
I have written a T-chart in my journal, on the left “Inside my control” and on the right “Outside my control”. I add anything I can think of to each list, then I focus on the left side of the chart while I release thoughts and stress energy over the right side.
Psoriasis is NOT you. You ARE a Healing Warrior helping your body eliminate the causes of psoriasis which will ultimately set you free and clear your skin.
Concentration -> Commitment -> Community -> Conviction
Choice -> Challenge -> Cherish
