Another beautiful morning on the beach down here in Tulum, Mexico where I live. The water was as calm as a lake, I felt peace and serenity as I stared out at the horizon... where horizon meets the sky... where vision meets the eye... where true self-power is mine... Every time I visit the ocean for my salt scrub and natural phototheraphy (aka the Sun), it inspires me to write. The salt … [Read more...]
Don’t Sweat The Small Spots
I'm coming up on my year anniversary! The first year from the date I started my divorce with Psoriasis ;). There have been a lot of ups and downs so far. I am seeing amazing progress, especially the past four weeks. The Psoriasis is healing the most on my scalp and shoulders. My chest, abdomen, thighs and more of my oldest spots are free of excess chunks of skin and less red. I can see … [Read more...]
Soothing Any Social Anxiety Of Psoriasis
We have heard it all before. Most of the time it's... "you got a little too much sun, huh?" or "Is that poison ivy?" My favorite, was a recent trip through airport security, the TSA gal asked: "Oh man, is that chicken pox?" "Umm, No...it's Psoriasis." "Ok I just wasn't sure if it was maybe contagious." Other TSA guy nearby chips in with: "Yea man, 1 out of every 3 people have … [Read more...]
In Your FACE Psoriasis!
It has been almost eight months since I have used my typical DermaSmoothe steroid oil and a generic corticosteroid cream on my entire forehead to the eyebrows, lining of my scalp, ears, nose and eyes. I used a combo of the oil and cream to keep the symptoms of my scalp and face Psoriasis at bay for about seven years. Since I started my alkaline approach to healing my Psoriasis, I made a vow to … [Read more...]

Practice. Persistence. Patience. Passion. Psoriasis
As I'm focusing in on making a 2nd half push, I'm visualizing how far I've come. With a skin issue like this, even if there is improvement, I have an overly-hypercritical perspective on myself. This analysis paralysis will affect emotions greatly. The key to keeping emotions intact and balanced is based on THREE aspects, I believe: Continuous Practice Give Yourself Some Credit Love Your … [Read more...]
Back In The Saddle
"Don't call it a comeback, I've been here for years!" It's been a long time since I've posted in my diary. I just got back from a six-week business/leisure trip. I learned, once again, how difficult it is to keep up a healthy green diet while traveling. It is so easy to give back into our old ways of eating and treating our bodies. I also realized how much my practice to date has ingrained a … [Read more...]

Healing Psoriasis Journal Entry #6: Seeing Signs
Ok, It's been about 5 - 6 weeks now on my transitional diet. The main part of that is staying away from all red meats, most all cheese and dairy, all refined sugars and gluten. I would say about 60-80% of my diet the past 4 weeks has been plant-based. The last week, with a friend in town, and a night out on the town this weekend, I had some serious cheats. These consisted of popcorn and soda at … [Read more...]
